Butterfly. An arid clod could become an earthly paradise. From a stone you could create a work of art. Metamorphosis is always possible, but care, dedication and passion are needed. This is the reason why we are named Gruppobacus; a specialised team whose abilities are blended to make metamorphosis possible.
In the last few years our energies were focused on the antique Casvetum, a small village deep in the Terni province hills, today known as San Gemini.For over a century this name has been attached to the famous mineral waters and it evokes quality and a positive sensation, welfare and health.
Our aim is to make San Gemini a healthy life oasis, bound to the nature, the art, time that rolls by placid, to the silence, to the pure water, to the light air, to the beauty of people and places. A place accessible to everyone in the respect of nature and history where it is possible in every moment of the year to experience the serenity of a life with a calm rhythm.
Group History
GRUPPOBACUS was founded in 2001 on the initiative of Marco Violati, heir to a successful entrepreneurial tradition for over a century. Since 1889, when Carlo Violati founded the Sangemini mineral water industry Violati’s family has been an example of entrepreneurial skills and humanity, investing resources in the Sangemini Company, and thanks to excellent intuition put them to good use.
Group Guidance Values
Our President's history is articulated between two geographically near and yet very different urban realities; Rome and San Gemini: metropolis and countryside. The capital city has its own frenetic rhythm and the village has a slower and scanned rhythm.The space and places that we frequent give us emotion, enrich us and are our existential theatre from where to draw a daily teaching.
This is what happened to Marco Violati throughout his life, extracting from these two very different contests their best characteristics. On one hand the dynamism, initiative and ambition of the capital city and on the other hand the wisdom, modesty and love for the traditional values that are characteristics of those who lived in a village such as San Gemini.
Gruppobacus has absorbed these passionate values from our President and remained true to these throughout the years.
We have adopted a moderate, flexible approach and encourage debate, which enables people to face their inner confrontation, focusing on business aims and their willingness to assign a meaning to their actions, ensuring continuous learning is maintained.
We are looking for stimulus to offer and suggest how to face difficult circumstances positively, grasping aspects of opportunity.
We are animated by international spirit. We are aware that the ability to confront and to blend with different cultures and the knowledge of different behavioural patterns influences and unmistakably makes us better individuals … and even at difficult times preserves the team spirit: being aware that results can be achieved thanks to everyone’s effort and the subsequent satisfaction must be shared.
